Dino Gate opening waysso far dino gates open just one way, but i found a way to open the gate in both directions, the way i like to, and now i am wondering if it's a bug that it opens in both directions or that i opens just one way.
My Gate normally opens into my base, but when i am inside my base moving to the left side of the gateway, then looking ~45 degreese to the right (which is the left door) then it opens to the outside of my base.
Which one is the bug?

interesting, can you provide screen shots? Hard to get EXACTLY your results based on your description.

so which one is the bug, the one way opening or as above the both ways opening gate

Funny, I just logged in and my doors opened the other way.. I thought Yay the devs made it so they open both ways and tried again only to find they opened the same was as before. I came on here to post a suggestion about it and see this post!

The gate opens based on where you click it. If you interact the right side, it opens outward. Interact with the left side, it opens towards you. This is how it always has been in my experience. From Wood to Behemoth.

I don't see why they aren't the same as normal doors. It should open the doors away from you regardless of what side of the door you're on. Dino doors that can open inwards should help stop them getting caught on the door while trying to get through.

The way it is now let's you open it however you want, no matter which side of the gate you're on. It's perfect. If they only opened "Away" from you, you couldn't really open the gate for someone coming in being chased. Or

After fighting for 10 minutes to get an argentavis through a dinogate that opened "the wrong way" this one blew my mind. Have to try it when I get into the game.

weird, this is how our gates work 100% of the time. We use Dino gates and Behemoth Gates, no mid ones (metal?)

I know the Behemoth gate opens both ways, the others i haven't been able to open both ways

I think my information is wrong, Behemoth is always, not sure on the other two.

I wanna revive this post. I agree that behemoth have always opened both ways, but i have reinforced dinos that only open one way.
I tried interacting with the left side (relative term) and at weird angles (standing close to the door, as in touching it, and pointed up or pointed to the hinges) i was able to get it to open inward a few times out of maybe 40 tries?
Anyone able to get thoughts here? (would MUCH perfer to have it swing inward, not outward)
Normal interacting with either side from inside or out results in default outward (outside) opening.
